Instagram has been down for thousands of users since today morning as users have been having issues accessing the social media platform. This is the third time this month that the Meta-owned app has faced similar kinds of issues.
As reported by the crash detection website, Downdetector, Instagram was down for thousands of users in India, the UK, and the US. 50% of users reported that were unable to access the app while 29% reported that they couldn’t connect to the server and 21% reported that they were unable to login into Instagram. However, after a brief moment of time, users said that they were able to access the app.

The reason for the outage is still unknown, we couldn’t access any information from Meta‘s official website about what went wrong or where the services have been affected, however, this outage started a meme fest on Twitter.
Instagram Down Starts Meme Fest on Twitter
A day ago prior to the Instagram Down issue, Elon Musk made the biggest change possible in his acquired social media app, Twitter. He changed the famous blue bird logo of Twitter and renamed it X. Since then TwitterX has been trending. The change got reflected on all user accounts of Twitter shortly. Zuck after seeing Elon’s dominance in the social media arena, launched his own Twitter rival Threads which became the first app to gain the first 1 million users.
Elon and Mark Zuckerberg are also in a feud as they both own the biggest social media apps in the world and Zuck has also invited Elon for 1-on-1 bout.
