Pacer Jasprit Bumrah has made his comeback after a prolonged injury followed by rehabilitation at the National Cricket Academy (NCA). Jasprit Bumrah who has not donned the blues since the T20Is against Australia last September, returns to cricket as well as sports the hat of the captain in India’s tour to Ireland for a 3-match T20 series. India also toured Ireland in 2022 and won the series 2-0, however, at that time the Irish team gave India a good fight.

Jasprit Bumrah underwent back surgery in March this year and took the long road to rehab at the National Cricket Academy (NCA). However, he attempted a comeback in January 2023 for the ODI series against Sri Lanka but had to withdraw on the eve of the ODI series opener at Guwahati, with the BCCI citing the need for him to build bowling resilience and calling the decision a precautionary measure. India went on to lose the series.
Japsrit Bumrah Captain, Ruturaj Gaikwad Vice Captain
BCCI announced the team on July 31, 2023, with Bumraj leading them and Ruturaj Gaikwad playing as the vice-captain which also means that he will be opening along with Yashasvi Jaiswal. Sanju Samson will be keeping the wickets while Prasidh Krishna also makes a comeback after recovering from a stress fracture and it is expected that he will lead the pacer attach along with Arshdeep Singh and Mukesh Kumar. it is also expected that Ravi Bishnoi will be leading the spin attach along with Washington Sunder and Rinku Singh as well as Shivam Dubey will be playing the role of finishers.
IPL stalwarts, Rinku Singh, Jitesh Sharma, Shivam Dube, Washington Sundar, and Shahbaz Ahmed have also been included in the squad against Ireland will be played in Malahide, Dublin which will be played on August 18, 20, and 23, 2023.
