Human beings are considered the most civilized of the living creatures on the planet Earth, yet every now and then our actions speak, “We are not worthy of this title”. In a tragic incident that will even make the evilest person hang their heads in shame, a woman was raped in front of her husband in Pune over defaulting on a loan.
The accused, Shaikh, tricked and lured the couple to an isolated place near Hadapsar government colony, Pune, and demanded the outstanding money, which they were unable to pay. The grave incident happened in February.
As reported by News18, “The accused, Imtiaz Shaikh, aged 47, had reportedly given an interest-free loan of Rs 40,000 to the victim’s husband in Hadapsar in February this year. However, when the couple failed to repay the loan, Shaikh resorted to abusive threats. Shaikh then tricked the couple into an isolated spot and demanded his money. Upon not being paid the outstanding amount, he brandished a knife and terrorized the husband. He then raped the woman and recorded the whole horrifying incident on his phone.”

The accused Imtiaz Shaikh, didn’t stop there. He kept on blackmailing the victim couple by demanding sexual favors from the woman, and when she refused, he posted the video on various social media platforms.
Accused Nabbed and send to 2 day Remand in Pune
When things went out of hand, the victim then reported the matter at the Hadapsar Police Station, Pune, and lodged a formal complaint on Tuesday. The police officials took swift action and nabbed the accused.
The accused is sent to a two-day remand till further investigations are on. The Police are looking through other angles where they believe that the accused might trap other victims in a similar fashion, told Police Inspector Ravindra Shelake as per news agency IANS.
